Memories of Packed Lunches

Before school started providing cafeteria meals, I used to bring a lunch box to take care of lunch. After fourth period, my friends and I would gather in small groups. I remember the feeling of anticipation as I opened the lid of my lunchbox, wondering what side dishes were inside. It was great to have a variety of foods when we shared our meals. Friends who always brought mouthwatering food would enjoy great popularity.

When the weather grew cold in the autumn  and winter, I carried a sturdy insulated box. Insulated boxes usually had a three-tier structure. It was nice to be able to pack warm soup in the bottom compartment. However, if I wasn't careful while carrying it, the soup could leak out of its container or the glass inside the insulated container could break, rendering it unusable.

Welcome to my Banchan shop

A: Good afternoon, How may I help you?

B: Hi! this is my first time in your banchan shop. It's a far cry from anything else I've seen in the U.S

A: Thanks! From your reaction, I'm guessing you spent some time in Korea/
